The 2015 season was a very busy season for both David and I in many different sports. We began the year with the Snowflake Series, a winter 5km race series and finished our season at the Snowflake Series which is a 4 race series from mid November to Early January in Orillia.

Brian-Top Results 2015

1.Ontario Sprint and International Distance Duathlon 2015 Provincal Championships.

-This Double Header weekend had my interest early in my season but my participation in the race heavily depended on how my Road Cycling season went with the National Cycling Centre Hamilton and if qualified for the Canadian U19 Road Cycling, that I didn’t make.

2. Canadian Sprint Duathlon National Championships 2015, 5th Overall, 2nd U19 Men.

-The Canadian Sprint Duathlon Championships was a great experience but the course really didn’t suit me. The race distances were 5km-20km-5km instead of the normal 5km-20km-2.5km sprint distance. The extra 2.5km and a flat bike course around the Montreal Grand Prix Circuit really made the race less suitable. Biking is my strength especially on courses with lots of hills.

3.KW Classic Ontario Cup Road Race, 2nd Overall, 1st Junior Men,

-My first Road O-Cup win where I made it into a 7 rider breakaway that stayed away from the peloton for over 20km. I sprinted into 1st in the U19 Men category and 2nd overall in the Elite 3 Men/Junior Men wave.

4. Ontario Male Age Group Athlete of the Year.

-I Was really excited to be nominated for a Triathlon Ontario Duathlon award.

5. U19 Men Road O-Cup 2015 series standings, 6th

-Even though my Road Cycling was not as successful as I wanted it to be I was still consistent in my O-Cup racing throughout the season and placed 6th in Junior Men in the Ontario Road O-Cup series standings.
